We would like to inform you that, in compliance with European data protection legislation, we have updated our privacy policy to ensure that data is protected in accordance with the highest privacy standards.

These data are particularly sensitive and have therefore been classified as special categories of fitness data. Their processing will be carried out in accordance with the principles of European Union data protection, ensuring that your fundamental rights and freedoms are respected.

Therefore, we request that you carefully read our privacy policy and expressly accept its content in order to continue to enjoy our services.

For maintain anonymized data in App, in menu “Settings | User Settings” let UserAlias value to unknown. A UserAlias should be an identifier that you use in your own systems. Make sure the identifier cannot be linked to personally identifiable information.

Using data in research and development

We may use some of the data in research and development work to improve our services, but for such purposes data is cleared from identifiers to the maximum amount possible.
Sports science research is at the core of everything we do. We have experts from biosignal technology, physiology, sports training, health and data science, and we carry out innovative studies related to wearable technologies, sports training, physical activity and sleep.

New algorithms are being developed and tested, and customer mass data is being used to, for example, find anomalies in the features or to find devices that may not work properly.

Some of the research is performed in co-operation with third-party research partners. The aim of research collaboration is to produce a scientific publication of the results and the actual research work is done according to an agreed research protocol and ethical requirements imposed on the study. In these studies, no customer data is given to the third-party research partners. If any customer personal data is used in the research, customers are asked for a separate informed consent to use their personal data for the specific research project.

Purpose

The purpose of processing the data you provide us is to be able to offer you the products and services of Biosignals Solutions (“we”, “our” or “us”) in an optimal and personalized way, as well as to comply with legal and regulatory obligations that concern us.


Contracted or requested products and services data, status of the holder, authorised parties or representative for the contracted product and service: To verify your identity, and to investigate frauds and other misuse of the products. We may also process your information as part of our research and product development activities – we’re continuously developing new functionalities and improving existing ones.

We may use Google reCaptcha in our legitimate interest to prevent misuse of our services. Using reCaptcha is essential for services security. reCaptcha’s application programming interface (API) sends hardware and software information, including device and application data, back to Google for analysis. Google in turn uses data analysis to fight spam and abuse.

Information you provide directly to us: The data can be email, name, age, height, sex, etc. This data is used to provide you with accurate personal estimates, such as calories burned etc. It is not necessary to give your real name, but the name you give is the one that is displayed if you share your sessions. We use your location information primarily to identify your language. Location information is also used to direct your Customer Care requests to the correct Customer Care location so that you receive support in the correct language. Your email address is your account name and we may use your email to identify you later if you contact our Customer Service. To do this, use an email address that you have access to and that is working (not an alias). We will also send all important notifications to that email.

We use your age info to give you more accurate calculations. If you give us false information about your gender, age, height or weight, our algorithms will not calculate correct results for you, and we therefore trust that all the information you give us to be accurate.

Automatic data Collection: We may collect your mobile information, such as, unique identifier, the operating system version, system time, time zone, language, brand and model of mobile phone. We may collect some data from sensors such as, but not limited to, heart rate, activity time, steps, movement track, device ID, and heart biosignal.

Data obtained from the execution of statistical models: we use the results of applying mathematical modelling to customer data to fight fraud, deduce consumer habits, preferences or propensity to contract or classify customers, fulfil our regulatory obligations and manage the operational aspects of your products and/or services.

For statistical purposes, may deliver collected anonymized statistical data on its customers, sales, traffic types, exercise information, and similar website information to reputable third parties. These statistics do not contain identifiable personal information.

We may use web and mobile tracking techniques and targeted advertising.

Log Information: To offer the best possible service in the event of a problem, we store log data. When you synchronize your device with ours service, the  log is copied onto our server and saved there for a short period. The log is only used for error analysis and statistical purposes on the basis of our legitimate interest. It can be used for example when you contact our Customer Care about an error or crash on your device. The only personal identifier on the log is the device ID which is needed to link the log to the correct device.

Recipients

The recipients of data will be those service providers who need to access it in order to provide you with the required services. Under no circumstances will data be transferred to third parties without your prior and explicit consent, except for those cases in which the communication of your data to third parties is necessary to be able to fulfill the purpose directly related to the contracted service.

Regarding your rights, we inform you that you may exercise the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection in relation to your data at any time by contacting our data protection officer biossignalssolutions@gmail.com. To verify your identity in order to carry out your request, we may have to ask for additional information.

Some of your data, such as purchase data, will be retained for a certain period due to requirements of mandatory provisions of law.

The right to data portability only applies to the data provided by you, not the derived data that you see in App o Web service that has undergone manipulation with Biosignals Solutions algorithms.

Security

We inform you that we have adopted the necessary technical and organizational measures to guarantee the security and integrity of the data, avoiding alterations, losses, treatment or unauthorized access.

However, the user must be aware that Internet security measures are not impregnable. We use security measures (such as encryption) and precautions to collect and process data and to prevent unauthorized access to and improper use of your personal data. If our sites support online transactions, they will use industry standard security measures to protect the confidentiality and security of these transactions. We use industry standard security measures, such as SSL authentication, to ensure that your credit card information, as well as other personal data submitted as part of the buying process, is appropriately safe from third-party interception.
